Description
This course unit consists of an independent project that will result in a literature review. The topic addressed will be related to the research focus of the research internship to be completed in Semester 4, but may also include related scientific topics.
This literature review will be presented in the form of a report that must adhere to the formatting standards required for scientific books and articles. The document will serve as the bibliographic foundation for the research internship report. The practical exercise required as part of the “Scientific Writing” course will be a prerequisite for beginning the bibliographic synthesis, through the process of defining the research question for your synthesis, developing keywords, etc.
Objectives
The objective of this course unit is to conduct an exhaustive literature review on a given topic and then identify the relevant elements that will help define the thematic areas and focus of the research to be conducted as part of the Master’s internship. The citation of references and the compilation of a bibliography at the end of the report must adhere to the formatting standards required for scientific books and articles.
