Qualitative Research Methods

This methodological module covers qualitative research techniques and inductive reasoning. Students will be trained to conduct open-ended interviews, carry out field observations, and learn to analyze empirical data. Students will apply these skills by conducting a group investigation into a controversy related to water or the environment (in connection with the material covered in course HAO717T).

The objectives of this training module on “qualitative methodology” are to provide students with the skills and tools needed to design a research framework, and to familiarize them with the applications of this approach in the water and environmental sectors in order to develop their ability to analyze the resulting findings.

Final Assessment: Oral and written presentation.
