Presentation
This program is aimed at vocational high school professions based on dual specialization in general subjects (literature-history and geography, Spanish-literature, and English-literature). First and foremost, it targets careers as vocational high school teachers. In addition, there are careers where knowledge of the conditions and practices of vocational education is required or can serve as a basis for further professional development, such as adult education
(languages and literature in particular). The versatility of the program allows for career changes based on the general knowledge acquired.

Objectives
- Preparation for the CAPLP exam
- Professional training for trainee teachers in vocational high schools
Know-how and skills
This specialization incorporates elements of general culture, knowledge of the education system, and analysis of professional situations offered by teaching units dealing with the reference framework, and adapts them to learning specifically related to the professions being prepared for. The program is demanding in terms of the two disciplines that make up the dual focus. Three competitive exams are offered during the master's program:
CAPLP Literature-History
CAPLP English-Literature
CAPLP Spanish-Literature
Organization
Program
This program is defined by teaching methods that differ from those used in general high schools. Its relationship with the professional world, the status of its students, and the strong presence of atypical academic backgrounds in these professions give it a unique identity.
The master's degree is prepared in person at the FDE, and a hybrid distance learning program (FADH) is being considered for the 2021-2022 academic year. This will allow candidates who are employed and/or wish to retrain in teaching to benefit from distance learning with a few in-person sessions at the Faculty of Education.
