The Master's degree in Information Technology Business Engineering (IATI) combines expertise in information technology with business management skills. The aim of the program is to train business engineers specialized in the Information Technology (IT) sector.
This specialization corresponds to a specific need of companies, looking for high-level B-to-B sales people, capable of understanding the issues of the client company, negotiating with senior executives and responding to calls for tender.
Professional integration takes the form of an assignment and an internship combining theoretical knowledge with practical problem-solving in M1 and M2.
The Master's degree in Information Technology Business Engineering (IATI) is organized over two years and four semesters from S1 to S4. The M1 is made up of two semesters.
The first semester covers a common core of management knowledge, while the second semester enables students to begin specializing.
Semesters 3 and 4 are in M2. Between February and June, part of the second semester is taught on campus and in partnership with Montpellier Business School's Grande École program.
To enhance the international dimension and professional integration, part of the M2 curriculum is taught in English.
Objectives
The aim of the program is to train business engineers specialized in the Information Technology (IT) sector.
Know-how and skills
- Mastery of IT and its use in business
- Mastery of the organizational implications of IT integration (internally and externally in the marketplace)
- More specific mastery of one of the dimensions of the IT / Management relationship
During the Master's program, students will learn to analyze companies' information technology needs
in order to propose the most appropriate solutions. They will also learn how to negotiate an offer in the
information technology field with a BtoB customer. Finally, they will be able to work as part of a team, so as to
be able to manage a team of sales representatives.
Generally speaking, students will be familiar with the various management disciplines, and will have a level of
sufficient to interact effectively with all company departments, and to defend their positions within the organization's decision-making bodies in a
satisfactory manner.

Program
The Master's degree in Information Technology Business Engineering (IATI) is organized over two years and four semesters from S1 to S4.
M1 consists of two semesters. The first semester covers a common core of management knowledge, while the second semester enables students to begin specializing as Information Technology Business Engineers.
Semesters 3 and 4 take place in M2, at a pace adapted to academic and business requirements.
Between February and May, part of the second semester is taught on campus, in partnership with Montpellier Business School's Grande Ecole program.
To enhance the international dimension and professional integration, part of the M2 curriculum is taught in English. In addition, traditional or double degree exchanges are encouraged at M1 level.
