Description
Specialized English and English for Communication courses aimed at professional autonomy in the English language.
Objectives
Our objective is to give you the necessary tools to enable you to present data orally and in writing on a subject related to areas such as robotics, space, new technologies, the world of work or current affairs... To do this, you will work on the five language skills described by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in order to achieve oral and written fluency compatible with the working world and with English-speaking interlocutors.
Necessary pre-requisites
Grammar and basic written and oral expression skills (A2).
Recommended prerequisites*:
The B2 level of the CECRL in oral and written language.
Knowledge control
Continuous assessment. Attendance and active participation in class will be required.
Syllabus
Listening comprehension with video and group discussion
Reading comprehension based on articles from the scientific press
Interaction speaking - group work, role playing
Oral expression in individual and/or team presentations
Written expression - video summaries, cover letter, resume
