Practical work

The program of this course is centered on an experimental approach of the basic knowledge related to radiochemistry, separative chemistry and conversion processes. This knowledge will be implemented through specific examples.

To experiment concretely the basic knowledge related to radiochemistry, separative chemistry and conversion or dissolution processes through several 4-hour practical sessions.

• Liquid-liquid extraction: kinetics and thermodynamics
• Thermodynamics and phase equilibria
• Separative chemistry

Grading of reports.

• Purification by liquid-liquid extraction
• Separation by solid-liquid extraction
• Co-precipitation conversion processes
• Separation by membrane processes
• Dissolution or leaching processes
