Objectives
The objective of this course is to illustrate the chemical and stereochemical structure of natural lipids, briefly describe their biological and pharmacological functions, and show some examples of stereoselective synthesis of lipids, particularly prostaglandins and leukotrienes.

- Structure and total synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes (³H)
TD (5 hours): Individual work, exercises to be prepared before and during the session.
Determination of the structure of different classes of lipids using chemical and spectroscopic analysis methods. Exercises on the total synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes.
