Description
The principles of Green Chemistry provide a basis for the evaluation and design of new chemical products and processes that minimize negative impacts on human health and the environment. In this teaching unit, offered to M2 students of the Master of Biomolecular Chemistry (BM), Orientation 2 (O2), the basic principles and concepts of Green Chemistry will be discussed, and their applications in the field of non-conventional activation methods and the use of alternative media in organic synthesis.
Hourly volumes* :
CM : 9 H
Field: 11 a.m.
Objectives
The objective of this course is to deepen and extend the theoretical and practical knowledge of the student in the field of green chemistry and more particularly in the field of activation methods and alternative media. At the end of this course, the student will be able to: 1 - implement an organic synthesis process taking into account the principles of green chemistry; 2 - use non-conventional activation methods in organic chemistry; 3 - adapt his or her synthesis strategy by using alternative solvents (water) or carry out solvent-free reactions; 4 - use sonochemical and mechanochemical equipment.
Necessary pre-requisites
Organic chemistry level M1
Knowledge of the basic principles of green chemistry and green chemistry activation techniques.
Knowledge control
Final written exam of 1h30
Syllabus
Course:
