Description
This module aims to provide the basics of near-surface and borehole geophysical investigation methods used in the field of hydrogeophysics. These approaches aim to characterize the reservoir structure (geometry, lithologies) but also to detect, locate and quantify fluid transfers. We will also discuss the processing and analysis of these data using various dedicated software.
Objectives
The objective is to train students in geophysical methods dedicated to hydrogeophysics:
- Understanding of the theory, advantages and limitations of these methods
- Practical implementation in the field
- Data processing with dedicated software
- Know how to interpret geophysical data on a case study

Syllabus
- Near surface geophysics: Electrical methods (ERT, PS), RMP, gravimetry
- Geophysics in drilling: Electrical methods, Gamma Ray, PS
- Data acquisition in the field
- Processing of real data using dedicated software.
