Description
Key topics covered: Petrophysics, carbonate rocks, siliciclastic rocks, oil flows, diagenesis
Objectives
This module aims to provide the fundamental concepts for the physical and petrophysical description of reservoirs at different scales (from thin sections to basin scale), as well as the main aspects of diagenesis that modify petrophysical properties.
Mandatory prerequisites
Sedimentology in siliciclastic or carbonate environments (Bachelor's and Master's 1), possibly including concepts learned in hydrogeology (Bachelor's).
Knowledge assessment
1 graded practical assignment, 1 final exam (2 hours).
