Description
This course consists of two resource assessment projects based on case studies applied to mining and petroleum. The student will have access to the digital imaging platform. He will be introduced to the use of specific interpretation and evaluation software that will allow him to manipulate the data sets provided (software such as Techlog, Coralis, Petrel...). The results of the interpretation of these data will be summarized and argued in the form of two reports or presentations.
Objectives
The objective is to reinvest all the knowledge acquired by the student during the first 3 semesters through projects. The student will learn to use adapted tools, to carry out a typical geological exploration workflow, and to write an expert report within a given timeframe, as is required in the industry when a study is entrusted to a team of geologists before a project.
Necessary pre-requisites
All the knowledge acquired in S1, S2 and S3 is necessary.
Knowledge control
Projects are evaluated in the form of two reports to be submitted.
