Description
The Bibliographic Project course consists of training in documentary research, including the use of search engines, databases and bibliographic reference management tools. Students work in pairs on a subject they have defined themselves, in connection with their training. This documentary research is valued by the writing of a synthesis and a poster.
Objectives
The objectives are: (i) to support the students' learning of research and management of bibliographic references by mobilizing appropriate tools (ii) to encourage the development of a critical mind on the information mobilized from the bibliographic research work (iii) to promote the development of skills related to the synthesis of information from various sources and to scientific writing
Knowledge control
The evaluation will address:
- The definition of a topic of choice in connection with the training and its problematization
- The writing of a written synthesis
- The realization of a poster
Syllabus
The content of the UE is articulated according to 4 sequences:
- definition of a subject and problematization
- implementation of documentary research methods
- writing a synthesis
- production of a poster and realization of a flash presentation in 180 seconds
The targeted skills are as follows:
- Know how to formulate a problem;
- Master the tools and methods of documentary research including:
- know how to evaluate the relevance of sources ;
- know how to select a list of references;
- Master the Zotero software;
- Improve your scientific writing skills.
The course of the UE is as follows: two theoretical sessions, one practical session and personal work.
