Syllabus
Entering the world of work is always a crucial step in a professional career, and it is essential for students to be as well prepared as possible. The speakers in this module, who come from the business world, share their professional experiences and encourage students to reflect on their studies, their strengths, and their weaknesses, guiding them in building and optimizing their skills assessment.
The aim is obviously to prepare students to methodically complete their application process for an internship or first job. They learn how to analyze job offers effectively (identifying keywords and the recruiter's expectations, searching for additional information, etc.), how to structure and tailor their resume and cover letter, and, of course, how to prepare for their job interview. The specific case of unsolicited applications is also addressed.
Initial practical experience through role-playing (recruiter/recruit) and mock job interviews enables students to demystify this key stage in their professional career, giving them a clear understanding of their strengths and the expectations and practices of companies.
Information on labor law (rights and obligations), the concept of an employment contract, etc. is also provided.
