Syllabus
The insertion in the world of work is always a primordial step in a professional career and it is fundamental for the students to prepare themselves as well as possible. The lecturers of this module, coming from the business world, share their professional experiences and lead the students to reflect on their curriculum, their qualities, their shortcomings and guide them in the construction/optimization of their skills assessment.
The aim is obviously to prepare students to successfully apply for an internship or a first job. They learn how to analyze job offers in a relevant way (identification of key words and the recruiter's expectations, search for additional information, etc.), how to structure and target their CV and cover letter, and of course how to prepare their recruitment interview. The specific case of unsolicited applications is addressed.
A first practical application through role-playing (recruiter/recruited) and simulated job interviews allow students to demystify this key stage of a professional career, while being fully aware of their qualities and the expectations and practices of companies.
Information on labor law (rights and duties), the concept of employment contract, etc. is also given.
