Description
Bibliographical study on a research theme associated with the course and possibly related to the M2 internship topic.
80 hours of personal work spread over the first semester of M2. Several project progress meetings will be scheduled with the course's expert supervisors and scientific coordinators.
Objectives
- Carry out a bibliographical study project on a chosen theme that could potentially lead to simulations or analysis of experimental data.
- Discover, master and use bibliographic research tools and platforms
- Synthesize a short bibliographical report on a current research topic, in conjunction with a researcher who is an expert on the chosen research theme.
- Develop a critical scientific mind in the context of a peer review of the various promotion reports.
Necessary prerequisites
M1 level in Fundamental Physics and Applications
Knowledge control
Assessment of project management by expert supervisor.
Bibliographical report presented to a jury of peers.
Evaluation of the synthetic bibliographical report (4 to 5 pages maximum) by a jury made up of the course's scientific coordinators and Master's teachers.
Syllabus
After a short training course in methodology and the use of bibliographic research tools, students will be supervised by a teacher-researcher or researcher with expertise in the chosen research topic, to produce a summary bibliographic report.
Peer evaluation is envisaged, leading students to discover several topics and develop a critical eye for writing a synthesis paper.
These projects can be used to prepare for internships, and are also an opportunity to make contacts with people working in different laboratories.
