Description
This course introduces students to the issues associated with various uses of water and liquid discharges, as well as the methodology to be used to identify the associated critical points.
- Understand the regulations governing different uses of water.
- Identify substances that may pose risks to consumer health
- Understand the investigative methods used in the event of a health alert related to water quality and its management
- Understand the constraints, procedures, and solutions associated with wastewater management in the agri-food industry
Objectives
PROGRAM:
- Water Quality and Various Uses in the Agri-Food Sector - 3 lecture hours
- Regulations Governing Water Intended to Come into Contact with Food - 4 lecture hours / 3 lab hours
- Bottled Natural Mineral Water and On-Site Use - 3 lecture hours / 2 lab hours
- Management of Health Alerts and Situations Where Quality Limits Are Exceeded - 10 lecture hours / 10 lab hours
- Characteristics of wastewater from the agri-food industry - 2 hours of lectures
- Constraints and regulations related to wastewater from the agri-food industry - 2 hours of lectures
- Approach and main processes for treating wastewater from the agri-food industry - 6 hours of lectures / 5 hours of lab sessions
