Description
English tutorial course for students enrolled in the "M2 Preparation for the competitive examination for the agrégation in mathematics" program who wish to achieve professional autonomy in the English language.
Objectives
Strengthen and consolidate linguistic foundations according to the five language skills described by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Assessment of English language proficiency and, where possible, validation of CEFR level B2 in both oral and written English.

Mandatory prerequisites
Reading and listening comprehension, grammar concepts, and advanced writing and speaking skills (for example, a B1 level on the CEFR at the start of the course does not guarantee that a B2 level will be achieved by the end of the course).
Recommended prerequisites: CEFR level B2 in both speaking and writing
Knowledge assessment
Continuous assessment – Attendance and active participation in classes will be required.

- Listening comprehension – video materials, group discussions
- Reading comprehension – based on articles from the scientific press
- Oral expression in interaction – interviews and group work
- Written expression – oral comprehension reports
- Oral expression in individual presentations
- Validation tests for level B2 of the CEFR
