Objectives
The main objective is to train teachers in the fields of economics, management, and business administration for secondary education (technical and vocational) and higher education (general and vocational). Additional opportunities in research, management positions, and corporate training are also being sought.
Know-how and skills
- Acquire the professional skills listed in the professional skills framework for teaching and education professions.
The program aims to provide students with scientific and professional knowledge, both cross-disciplinary and specific, in the fields of management, economics, law, economics and management education, and educational sciences. It also offers an introduction to research in educational and management sciences; the aim is not to train students in research, but to train them through research.
Organization
Program
The courses that make up the program are divided into five main blocks that structure the entire curriculum:
Disciplinary content courses: these aim to help students acquire and reinforce fundamental disciplinary knowledge and prepare for competitive examinations. There are two types of courses: those that bring together all students in the specialization, regardless of the option chosen (general economics, law, management), and those that depend on the option or specialization being prepared.
Disciplinary teaching units: these aim to provide students with scientific knowledge and professional skills in the economics and management specialization, in an option and in a specialization track (technological or professional). As with disciplinary content units, some of these units bring together, partially or totally, students from the same track and/or option. The ECTS credits in this block are mainly aimed at learning about the teaching streams and their career opportunities, mastering the corresponding reference frameworks and programs, and discovering and using the teaching approaches and tools specific to economics and management in order to be able to design and implement teaching in economics and management.
Professional culture and practice ECTS credits: these aim to provide knowledge of the education system (
), discovery and mastery of the fundamentals of the teaching profession, acquisition of cross-disciplinary teaching skills, support in entering the profession through analysis of professional practices, and acquisition of knowledge and methods specific to the courses and audiences of the UF8 pathways.
Research course units: linked to content and disciplinary teaching course units, these aim to introduce students to the vocabulary, themes, work, and research methods used in education and management sciences. The aim is not to train students in research, but rather to use research as a means of
, and to raise students' awareness of the various issues and approaches in education and management sciences. In the context of the professional thesis, research is used as a foundation, a framework, and a methodology for reflection, observation, analysis of practices, and experimentation.
Foreign language teaching units. These teaching units are offered in the first and second semesters of the Master's 1 program.
