The Environmental Law major is open to students with a bachelor's degree (public or private law) in AES or political science.
The M1 allows students to acquire a wide range of skills in public law, environmental law and urban planning
Specialization courses and optional courses are offered over two semesters.
The M2 Environmental and Sustainable Development Law and Management is a course based on the acquisition and deepening of specialized theoretical skills, but also largely operational, in law, and in a complementary way in economics and management.
This training (M1 and M2) thus responds to the most current policy issues, to the reality of public and private action in this sector, and provides the widest range of professional opportunities.
It is intended for initial and continuing education students, and can be accessed through the validation of prior learning and professional experience (VAE-VAP)

Teaching manager: Catherine RIBOT
The Master in ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT LAW AND MANAGEMENT has been accredited since 1999-2000 at the University of Montpellier.
This highly attractive degree trains specialized lawyers to implement environmental and sustainable development policies in the public and private sectors.
Training available in initial and continuing education (professionals wishing to retrain, job seekers).
The normative framework of the environmental sector is complex and plentiful today, and public authorities as well as companies are confronted with restrictive regulations to manage their environments, their resources, the risks inherent to their activity, to prevent or repair the damage caused by pollution, or to adopt a territorial strategy of sustainable development, in a context of ecological transition.
In full expansion, this sector has reshaped the job market, generating numerous outlets and new professions in the public and private sectors.
This Master's degree is designed as a global legal training program (M1) but also transversal and multidisciplinary: law - management - political science - economics, taking into account the current needs of the job market.
