The Innovation Management program is part of a system set up by the University of Montpellier to promote innovative business creation, research development, and support for project leaders based on technological innovation.
Aimed primarily at scientists and technologists, this program is part of the IAE's long-standing commitment to "dual skills." It draws on a range of partners, from the University's research laboratories to various structures supporting innovative business creation (scientific incubators, business nurseries, financing structures, seed funds, crowdfunding platforms, commercialization units, etc.).

Creation of Innovative Companies (CEI)
The Master's in Innovative Business Creation (CEI) includes specialized seminars, an assignment in an innovative company, and a long internship.
The program alternates between academic training and experiential learning to address the management of innovative projects and the creation of innovative businesses, in partnership with professionals who support companies in developing through innovation.
Digital transformation management
The MTD program prepares students to lead such transformations by teaching them how to use digital tools (business intelligence tools, workflow, visual collaboration, social media, etc.) and by integrating digital innovations into the curriculum (digital business models, business intelligence, AI & Big Data, etc.). Finally, the development of a truly open mind among students is encouraged by innovative and entrepreneurial approaches to management (design thinking, lean startup, agile methodology, Lego Serious Play, the Disrupt Campus Montpellier program, etc.).
Master's Degree in E-Marketing
This Master's degree offers dual expertise, combining digital innovation and marketing. Coming from backgrounds with a strong IT focus and/or an interest in the digital sector, students learn about the challenges and uses of these technological innovations in marketing and customer relations. With this dual expertise, graduates of the Master's in E-Marketing will have the necessary skills to: Manage customer relations (e-CRM, e-loyalty), Provide advice and expertise (e-business economic models, omnichannel strategy, customer journey), Design and develop e-commerce and marketplace platforms, Act as an expert in B2B and B2C markets, Have expertise in digital project management, and Manage digital communication campaigns (community management, display, SEO, SEA, affiliation, e-mailing, comparison sites).
Innovative Project Management
The MPI master's program is part of the Innovation Management major, along with three other programs: Innovative Business Creation (CEI), e-Marketing, and Digital Transformation Management (MTD). The aim of this program is to enable students to carry out a professional project in the field of innovation with a major focus (one of the programs) while integrating a strong cross-disciplinary approach between these four areas through a combination of innovation, digital technology, marketing, and strategy (business model). The MPI program corresponds to the following professional objectives:
¤ Project or assignment manager in an innovative company,
¤ Consulting and support activities in innovation and entrepreneurship,
Our vision of innovative project management is primarily entrepreneurial, which explains the strong links between the MPI and CEI programs.
Admission
Target audience
The preferred profile is dual competence: the Master's program aims to provide dual competence to initial profiles that are not specialized in management (e.g., technological or scientific).
Mandatory prerequisites
Admission to M1:
Students must have earned 180 ECTS credits, corresponding to three years of higher education (Bac + 3, Bachelor's degree, business school).
Admission to M2:
Students must hold a Master 1 IAE or equivalent (Bac +4, 240 ECTS credits).
Expected results
The Mon Master platform displays two "employment rates in France" for each program, at 6 and 18 months. These two rates, known as "INSERSUP" rates, exclude graduates working in the liberal professions, business owners, artisans, or those working abroad. These rates therefore do not reflect the reality of professional integration. Furthermore, some Mon Master programs do not display INSERSUP rates because the employment rate in France effectively excludes many graduates who are already employed, meaning that the threshold for statistical reliability is no longer guaranteed.
For completely reliable information on all graduates who entered the job market directly without pursuing further studies, we recommend consulting the University of Montpellier website (https://osipe.edu.umontpellier.fr). These employment rates are calculated after 30 months (number of graduates in employment / number of graduates in employment and seeking employment). These data are collected by OSIPE (Observatory for Student Monitoring and Professional Integration).
