The preparatory courses for the teaching profession are based on a partnership between high schools and universities, with an increase in the amount of time spent at the university over the three years.

The Faculty of Education of Montpellier and the Jean Monnet high school offer one of these courses with an innovative pedagogical approach organized around eight essential skills for teaching, education and training.

This course leads primarily to a Master's degree in teaching in schools.

Objectives

From thefirst year of the Bachelor's degree, students who wish to prepare for the competitive examination to become a schoolteacher and move on to the Master's degree in teaching, education and training (MEEF) for the first degree.

The content of the training The teaching units contribute to the development of the following competencies

Program

2 semesters, 30 ECTS:

 

75% of the time in high school and 25% in university.

- The university teaching units are chosen from the reference license "Pluridisciplinarity and professions in teaching, education and training" and are complementary to the teaching done in high school.

- The courses cover the humanities and social sciences as well as disciplinary didactics.
