Description
The EU provides an introduction to the main diseases affecting the nervous system, both neurological and psychiatric. Pathologies are treated from a multidisciplinary angle, from the molecular to the symptomatic. This basic knowledge of neuropathology will serve as a foundation for the fields of research addressed later in the Master's program.
Objectives
- Knowledge :
- Multidisciplinary knowledge of the fundamentals of the main CNS diseases: neuropathies, epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's, Huntington's, Parkinson's), schizophrenia, mood disorders, etc.
-Knowledge of pathological processes common to many diseases: channelopathies, neuro-immune interactions (autoimmunity, infection, inflammation), maladaptive plasticity
-Approach to functional exploration techniques and study models and their limitations
Know-how :
Analyze experimental data, formulate hypotheses and propose ways of testing them
Synthesize and extract important information from a scientific article
Critical analysis ofin vitro toin vivo transposition
Be able to link neuropathology lessons with other biology disciplines
People skills :
Get involved in learning and interact with teachers
Participate actively in tutorials
Working in pairs
Organize, work alone, work regularly
Integrated multidisciplinary thinking
