This required course will enable students to build on the skills they acquired in “Biochemistry S3.” It will help them understand cellular metabolism by:
-an understanding of bioenergetics in order to study the processes by which living cells transport, transmit, utilize, store, and release energy; -the study of the catabolism and anabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, nucleotides, and amino acids, as well as the metabolic interactions between these pathways.
