This course deals with the theoretical notions of plant biology, using the Spermatophytes as a model. It aims at defining the notions and the specific vocabulary of morphology, anatomy, reproduction and biological cycles.

Syllabus

3 CM allow to explain the theoretical notions and the vocabulary: CM1, Plant morphology; CM2, Plant anatomy; CM3, Reproduction and biological cycles.

5 TDs allow to approach the different types of graphic representation used to illustrate these notions: TD1, Morphological diagram; TD2, Primary anatomy; TD3, Secondary anatomy; TD4, Floral diagram and longitudinal section; TD5, Biological cycle.

Finally, 4 practical exercises allow to work on biological material: TP1, Morphology; TP2, Anatomy; TP3, Floral morphology; TP4, Fruit morphology.
