The B.U.T. in Chemistry at Montpellier trains advanced technicians who work directly with engineers and researchers in all areas of chemical application: research, development, production, analysis, and quality control.

Objectives
The B.U.T. in Chemistry aims to train advanced technicians who will work directly alongside engineers or researchers in all fields of chemistry: research, development, production, analysis, and quality control.
Expertise and Skills
Upon completion of the three-year B.U.T. in Chemistry program, graduates will be able to:
- Analyze solid, liquid, and gaseous samples.
- Synthesize molecules.
- Develop materials and/or formulated products.
- Produce intermediate compounds and finished products.
- Manage a chemistry lab or a production facility.
- Monitor health, safety, and environmental issues.

Summary
The Bachelor of Science in Chemical Technology (Synthesis Track) is designed to train advanced technicians with strong expertise in organic and/or inorganic chemistry.
Materials and formulated products (Numat or MatPol)
The Bachelor of Science in Chemical Technology, Materials and Formulated Products track, consists of two locally adapted specializations:
- The B.U.T. in Chemistry, Materials and Formulated Products track ( NuMat local adaptation) aims to train advanced technicians with strong expertise in solid-state chemistry and materials for nuclear energy.
- The Bachelor of Applied Science (B.U.T.) in Chemistry, Materials and Formulated Products track— a locally adapted version known as MatPol —aims to train advanced technicians with strong expertise in the field of polymers and formulation.
