This specialization is designed to train research professionals in the field of human movement. Students graduating from the Research Master's program are expected to continue their studies in the Doctorate program, culminating in the defense of a University Thesis.
Research masters and doctoral studies are reserved for the most motivated students, and only a limited number of places are available. However, the professional integration of graduates is excellent.
After completing their thesis and usually a post-doctoral internship, students find jobs in higher education, research organizations, research laboratories or the "research and development" structures of private sector companies.
The Research Master's program offers three career paths:
- Motor Control: Specializing in the processes linking perception and action in the control and learning of perceptual-motor coordinations and the kinematic and dynamic modeling of the human body in motion.
- Movement Physiology: Specializing in the physiological mechanisms involved in the production of human movement, their regulation, the influence of environmental factors and the speci city of immediate and long-term responses in different populations.
- Exercise Psychology: Specializing in the study of the psycho- logical and psycho-social processes involved in the practice of physical activities for health, well-being or performance.
Objectives
The aim of the courses offered in semester 3 of year 2 of the Master's program is to raise students' awareness of the research questions raised in the various scientific fields supporting the Movement Sciences, the evolution of the underlying theoretical models and the experimental paradigms used. Courses are organized into two distinct groups: cross-disciplinary tools and methods, and specialized courses.
- The aim of the methodological courses is to give students in-depth knowledge of the most relevant tools and methods used in the scientific fields of reference, with normal and pathological movement as the object of study.
- The aim of the specialization courses is to provide students with in-depth theoretical knowledge of the mechanisms, determinants and processes involved in human behavior in the fields of sport, physical activity and movement.

- Scientific and methodological knowledge of the scientific field
- Design of research systems and conduct of research protocols
- Cross-disciplinary, organizational and relational skills: autonomy, scientific communication, mastery of tools, networking, laboratory techniques, scientific production.
