- Anatomical features and taxonomic recognition of temperate and tropical woods

- Macromolecules (cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, etc.) and their properties (Tg)

- Nano-structure - meso and nano-porosity, organization of cellulose microfibrils (interaction between chemical compounds)
