Syllabus

Entering the world of work is always a crucial stage in a professional career, and it's vital for students to be as well prepared as possible. The lecturers in this module, who come from the business world, share their professional experience and help students to reflect on their curriculum, qualities and shortcomings, and guide them in building/optimizing their skills assessment.

The aim is obviously to prepare students to successfully and methodically apply for internships and first jobs. They learn how to analyze job offers in a relevant way (identifying key words and the recruiter's expectations, seeking additional information, etc.), how to structure and target their CV and cover letter, and of course how to prepare for their recruitment interview. The specific case of unsolicited applications is addressed.

Role-playing (recruiter/recruited) and simulated job interviews help students demystify this key stage in a professional career, making them fully aware of their qualities and the expectations and practices of companies.

Information is also provided on employment law (rights and duties), the concept of the employment contract, etc.
