Description
Internship lasting a minimum of 5 months in a laboratory with the aim of immersing students in the world of fundamental and/or applied research and preparing them for a doctoral thesis. This internship can be carried out in research laboratories and technical platforms in France or abroad.
Objectives
The objective of the internship is to develop students' experience in applied and fundamental research in the field of the physics of living matter and biological systems (from molecules to organisms and possibly also populations of organisms).
This experience will serve as a springboard for students after their master's degree, whether they decide to pursue a career in public or private research.
In addition, these internships provide an excellent opportunity to learn and deepen your knowledge of a number of experimental and theoretical techniques (physics and biology) covered in the courses.
Mandatory prerequisites
Students are expected to have completed all course units in the first three semesters of the PhIMV program.

Knowledge assessment
Students must submit a written internship report and present the results of their work during an oral defense. They will be evaluated on the quality of their work presentation (report and oral defense), their answers to questions, and their participation during the internship.
