Description
A minimum 5-month laboratory internship designed to immerse you in the world of fundamental and/or applied research, and prepare you for your doctoral thesis. This internship can be carried out in research laboratories and technical platforms in France or abroad.
Objectives
The aim of the internship is to develop students' experience in applied and fundamental research in the physics of living matter and biological systems (from molecules to organisms and possibly also populations of organisms).
This experience will be a springboard for students after the Master's degree, whether they decide to go into public or private research.
What's more, these internships represent an excellent opportunity to learn and deepen directly a number of experimental and theoretical techniques (physics and biology) covered in the courses.
Necessary prerequisites
The student is expected to have completed all the units in the first three semesters of PhIMV training.
Recommended prerequisites :
It is recommended that students have completed all the units in the first three semesters of the PhIMV program.
Knowledge control
Students are required to submit a written report on their internship, and to present the results of their work at an oral presentation. Students will be assessed on the quality of their presentation (report and defense), their answers to questions and their participation during the internship.
