- Master QSE Project Manager in Aquaculture
Created in 2018 by the University of Montpellier, this multi-disciplinary training program aims to deliver knowledge, working methods and know-how enabling students to become efficient in professional situations in the fields of engineering, operations and project management in aquaculture, aquariology, and in the development of Mediterranean and tropical aquatic production and ecosystems.
It draws on the skills of the École Sécurité Environnement Qualité and the experience acquired by the Continuing Education Department of the University of Montpellier - formerly CREUFOP (37 years of higher professional training in aquaculture).
Objectives
The training team is made up of some forty researchers, engineers, experts, institutional executives and practitioners (universities, IRD, IFREMER, CIRAD, INRA, DDPP, etc.; professional organizations, design and engineering firms, production companies, public aquariums, etc.).
Training is based on :
- A succession of lectures, tutorials and practical exercises,
- On individualized support for professional projects,
- Supervision/tutoring of an opportunity and/or feasibility study for a project (aquaculture, development of products or activities, organization of an industry, business start-up/takeover, etc.),
- On an international network of former trainees, public and private institutions, production farms, public aquariums and landscaped sites (paths and trails),
Technical resources: an educational hatchery (Mediterranean and tropical marine and freshwater), a modular aquaculture platform to support project development, research laboratories and shared information and support services from the University of Montpellier (University Library, etc.).
