The Private Law major is intended for students who wish to acquire in-depth legal knowledge, develop their analytical skills, and apply their academic knowledge in practice.
In the first year, the major covers the essential subjects of private law (security interests, collective proceedings, matrimonial property regimes, inheritance, etc.), which are now included in most national exams and competitive examinations (CRFPA, ENM). In the second year, students choose to study certain topics in greater depth according to their interests.

The advantages of the training program

Objectives

The main objective of the Major is to contribute to the immediate integration of students into working life. The level of knowledge in the legal field acquired at the end of this program enables them to enter various professional sectors related to private law. The professions to which the major leads are the traditional professions in this field (teacher-researcher, lawyer, magistrate, notary, judicial representative, auctioneer, police officer, etc.). To achieve this, the major offers:
- preparation for various national exams and competitive examinations by ensuring that students have a perfect command of academic exercises.
- preparation for entry into professional life by offering students the opportunity to undertake internships in companies and courts through numerous partnerships.
- the possibility for those who wish to do so to pursue a doctorate with a view to embarking on an academic career.

Master's Degree in General Private Law

The courses taught during the first year of the Master's in General Private Law aim to prepare students for national exams and competitive examinations that provide access to traditional legal and judicial professions. With this in mind, the program covers essential topics in civil law and civil procedure (covered in the written exams), as well as fundamental rights and legal culture (covered in the oral exams).
The second year of the program aims to broaden students' legal culture while developing their critical thinking and analytical skills.
Students can choose between two tracks:
The first, which can be completed on a work-study basis, is intended for those who wish to enter the workforce after graduation.
The second allows those who wish to pursue an academic career to be introduced to legal research.
