Presentation

The Master's degree in Health Law provides students with a common foundation of fundamental knowledge in health law (medical law, ethics, professional conduct, bioethics, hospital law, liability, etc.).

These "fundamentals" are complemented by an approach that focuses on the cross-disciplinary skills required for an understanding of the health, social, and medical-social sectors (health economics, administration, management and governance, financing, social responsibility and sustainable development in health, quality and safety, human resources, international health law, etc.).

The skills acquired open up numerous career opportunities within healthcare institutions and administrations, professional organizations (federations, associations, URPS, etc.), and specialized law firms.

Objectives

The knowledge and skills acquired at the end of the first year of the Master 1 in Health Law, Law and Governance track, enable graduates to consider career prospects and specialization in companies and institutions in the health, social, and medico-social sectors, or to pursue further studies in a Master 2 program.

The second year of the Master's program, specializing in Health, Social, and Medical-Social Institutions Law, allows students to consolidate their foundations in civil, administrative, and health law, focusing their knowledge on the field of healthcare and caregiving. It also aims to provide each student with theoretical knowledge and practical scenarios in order to make them operational as quickly as possible on a professional level. To this end, students benefit from courses in management, governance ethics, etc. Through the legal perspective and managerial approach taught, students will ultimately gain a comprehensive overview of their future professional activity, enabling them to develop a strategic vision of healthcare governance. The objective of this program is therefore to enable students to quickly enter the workforce upon graduation. It also allows them to pursue doctoral studies.
