Preparation for the Oral Exam

The external mathematics agrégation exam consists of two oral exams for eligible candidates. These exams take place in June or July. The first exam is titled “Algebra and Geometry,” and the second is titled “Analysis and Probability.” To help students prepare for these exams, this course unit first outlines their specific characteristics and then guides students through the various topics announced by the exam committee. This course unit builds on the work begun in the course unit “Preparation for Oral Exam 1.” 

Prepare students for the “Algebra and Geometry” and “Analysis and Probability” oral exams for the agrégation competitive examination.

Bachelor's degree in General Mathematics, Master's degree (M1) in Mathematics.

Recommended prerequisites: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Montpellier, followed by a first year of master’s studies (M1) in mathematics with a focus on “fundamental mathematics,” or any mathematics track up to the M1 level; a general studies track up to the L3 level.

In this course, we will continue working on examples that illustrate the topics listed in the annual syllabus.
