After obtaining a scientific Master, engineering degree or equivalent, you want to obtain a double skill in the field of business management. The IAE of Montpellier proposes you to follow the Master MAE. (In M2 essentially)
This training leading to a diploma in management is intended for non specialists in management. It offers a generalist training as well as a deepening in one of the three following professions (courses recognized by the State):
- Project Manager - Management Controlling
- Product Manager - Marketing Department
- Functional Business Unit Manager
Objectives
The MAE aims to train non-specialists in management with an "engineer" or scientific profile.
In the many sectors where technology is evolving and innovation is permanent, this dual competence is a key to the success of the integration and evolution of the trained managers. Indeed, it provides them with two significant advantages:
- A better integration and evolution in the company, thanks to a better recognition and capacity to communicate with the technical sphere (knowledge and recognition by counterparts with a "scientific" profile who evolve within "production", "R&D", "sourcing" functions, etc.)
- A better ability to manage projects and innovative products, thanks to a thorough understanding of both technical and managerial aspects.

Program
This Master is organized in two years and in four semesters from S1 to S4 or in one year, S3 and S4.
The first semester of the M1 is a common core. Specialization is done in the second semester.
The Master 2 program is divided into three phases: acquisition of the fundamentals (3 months), professional specialization (3 months) and internship (6 months). The internship, linked to the specialization, represents a real springboard towards the company. It allows students to put their academic knowledge into practice and often leads to a fixed-term or permanent contract.

Product Manager - Marketing Department
After obtaining a scientific Master, engineering degree or equivalent, you want to obtain a double skill in the field of business management. The IAE of Montpellier offers you to follow the MAE by the way of the Initial or Continuing Education.
The Master 1 is composed of two semesters. The first semester is a common core. Specialization is done in the second semester.
The Master 2 program runs from the end of September to the end of March. It is followed by a 6-month internship, from April to September.
The full-time formula is divided into three phases: acquisition of the fundamentals (3 months), professionalization specialization (3 months) and internship (6 months).
The internship, linked to the specialization, represents a real springboard towards the corporate world. It enables students to put their academic knowledge into practice, and often leads to a fixed-term or permanent contract.
This diploma is also available part-time (over 2 years), as part of a continuing education program.

Business management (resumption of studies)
With a scientific background (Master's degree, engineering diploma, pharmacist, doctor, etc.), you are currently working for a company and would like to acquire dual skills in management and administration. The IAE de Montpellier offers you the opportunity to follow the MAE Management des entreprises (part-time over 2 years) through Continuing Education.
This Master's degree offers generalist training in management, as well as in-depth training in the following two options:
- Project management
- Functional Business Unit Management
The training cycle takes place at IAE Montpellier from the beginning of September to the end of February of year n+2.
This part-time formula enables you to reconcile training and professional constraints.

Target audience
Profile: engineers, scientists, pharmacists, doctors, ... strongly motivated to embrace a career as a manager.
Necessary pre-requisites
Access to M1 :
To justify a level Bac+4 (240 ECTS), or equivalent. With a profile of engineer, scientist, doctor,...
Access M2 :
To justify a level Bac +5 (300ECTS), or equivalent. In the case of continuing education: in the absence of a Bac +5, significant professional experience and professional development to be able to apply for a procedure of Validation of Professional Experience (VAP).
