Overview
Companies’ expectations regarding decision support and database analysis are
growing, and proficiency in statistical tools for data management
is essential. The objectives of this master’s program are to equip students with dual expertise
in mathematics and management, preparing them for careers as “data scientists” capable of
managing and analyzing data, particularly in a big data environment.
The program is divided into two phases:
M1: two semesters of lectures and tutorials followed by a project.
M2: two semesters of lectures and tutorials followed by a 6-month internship.
Objectives
We offer a dual-specialization master’s degree in STATISTICS & MANAGEMENT with the goal
of training science students—who have completed a program in applied mathematics—to address management and decision-support
issues. This master’s program is open to students holding a bachelor’s degree
in Applied Mathematics who wish to continue their studies at the master’s level. The IAE master’s program
is partnered with the master’s program offered by the Faculty of Sciences in Montpellier, specializing in Mathematics with a focus on “
” in Mathematics for Information and Decision-Making (MIND). This dual specialization is recognized
with a Dual Master’s Degree (Levels 1 & 2).
Expertise and Skills
Based on their initial expertise, students in the SIAD master’s program develop skills in the following areas:
