Overview
Drawing on multidisciplinary approaches, this program aims to help students acquire and master theoretical concepts and methods for analyzing and evaluating sustainability, as well as apply them in professional settings. The skills developed are designed to enable students to understand and analyze: i) changes in the socio-institutional environment, ii) the behaviors and strategies of stakeholders, iii) the organizational and coordination models of stakeholders from upstream to downstream—from production (agriculture, raw materials) and processing through to distribution to the end consumer, iv) the evaluation of performance and value creation, v) and to understand the role of logistics as a strategic, cross-functional component of supply chains. >> Learn more
Objectives
The goal of the program is to train and specialize future executives and project managers in the fields of value chain and supply chain management and coordination—from production through to the end consumer—with a focus on sustainability. >> Learn more
Expertise and Skills
This training course enables participants to acquire:
• Knowledge: analyze the food system and agri-food value chains; observe and analyze the environment in which stakeholders operate; assess the sustainability of agri-food sectors and supply chains; understand the national and international regulations that form the socio-institutional framework of value chains; and specialize in the management and coordination of supply chains.
• Areas of expertise:
- Conduct a strategic analysis of a value chain.
- Serve as a liaison between technical and socio-economic aspects.
- Conduct an analysis and model logistics optimization scenarios.
- Utilize indicators for evaluating environmental and economic performance to support decision-making.
• Interpersonal skills: working and communicating within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team, developing analytical rigor and a sense of responsibility, and upholding scientific and ethical integrity.
