Master's 1 Internship

The M1 internship lasts a minimum of 4.5 months and a maximum of 6 months on a full-time basis (from mid-March to the end of August at the latest).
Students are responsible for proactively seeking out their own internship opportunities.
The internship is approved by the academic advisor based on its alignment with the student’s career goals.
Each student is supervised during the internship by an academic advisor.
It may take place in France or abroad.
The internship takes place within a professional organization and, in principle, is governed by an internship agreement issued by the UM.

General Objectives:
A professional internship during which students acquire and apply knowledge, expertise, and skills relevant to their career goals.

Examples of skills to be acquired (to be adapted based on students’ career goals): - Applying a scientific approach to a given question - Collecting, analyzing, and discussing data
- Acquiring and using tools relevant to one’s career goals
- Analyzing and discussing results - Compiling a relevant bibliography
- Synthesizing and presenting results in written and oral form

The internship grade is based on the evaluation of:
- the internship report (analysis of the work performed, critical analysis, etc.),
- the oral defense before a panel (presentation of the work and answers to questions),
- and, if applicable, a progress report (depending on the available assessment materials for the work)
