Description
Tutorial courses in specialized English and English for communication, aimed at developing professional autonomy in the English language.
Objectives
Our goal is to give you the tools you need to present data orally and in writing on topics related to fields such as robotics, space, new technologies, the world of work, or current events. To do this, you will work on the five language skills described by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in order to achieve a level of oral and written fluency compatible with the world of work and with English-speaking interlocutors.
Mandatory prerequisites
Basic grammar concepts and written and oral communication skills (A2).
Recommended prerequisites:
Level B2 of the CEFR in both speaking and writing.
Knowledge assessment
Continuous assessment. Attendance and active participation in classes will be required.
Syllabus
Listening comprehension with video materials and group discussions
Reading comprehension based on articles from scientific journals
Oral expression in interaction – group work, role-playing
Oral expression in individual and/or team presentations
Written expression – video summaries, cover letter, resume
