This course is designed for students wishing to acquire a research-based education, focusing mainly on economic analysis, but also including some courses in management and economic sociology.

Training is based on the transmission of theoretical and methodological knowledge applied to issues of agricultural and agri-food development, food, natural resource management and the environment, in both developed and developing countries.

Professional integration

Economists holding this diploma are capable of exercising managerial responsibilities in companies, public bodies and associations operating in the environment, agriculture and agrifood sectors. They are proficient in statistical and computer-based economic tools, as well as in modeling and data processing.

Graduates of the ECONOMICS Master's degree in Economics of Agricultural Development, Environment and Food work in the following sectors:

  • University. Higher education in agronomy or economics, major public applied research organizations: INRA, CIRAD, IRD, IRSTEA, CNRS, IFREMER, etc.
  • In engineering and design offices, major international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), research and development departments of large companies, local authorities, certain public or semi-public administrations, etc.
  • In the banking, insurance and large industrial and commercial sectors
  • In the French and European civil service (after competitive examination)

EcoDEVA Master's graduates generally work as managers in the public or private sector.
