Description
Study the major chemical families of odorant molecules from a chemical and olfactory point of view.
Acquire fundamental knowledge in the field of industrial synthesis and hemisynthesis of odorant molecules, their olfactory characteristics and their applications in Aromatics and/or Perfumery.

Objectives
Olfactory and chemical knowledge of the main aromatic raw materials used on an industrial scale.
Necessary prerequisites
Master 1 ICAP A&P or equivalent training
Knowledge control
70% Final exam (2 sessions), 30% CC
Syllabus
Course :
Properties and production methods for molecules with an aromatic ring in their structure and belonging to the following families:
- Simple aromatic molecules: alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, acids, esters.
- Phenols and derivatives containing alcohols, aldehydes, ketones and esters.
TD: learning referents.
