Description

Teaching is carried out by teacher-researchers from the UFRs of Medicine, Science and Pharmacy. It is organized into 42 hours of lectures and supervised work divided into 7 themes (see Syllabus) including 2 series of article presentations; 1 series on articles proposed by the lecturers in each theme. A second series on articles chosen by the students. At the end of the course, students organize a mini-colloquium at which the articles are presented. They write brief reviews of these articles for the journal Medecine-Sciences.

Objectives

Know the pathophysiological bases of autoimmune and allergic diseases, immune deficiencies and lymphoproliferative syndromes.Understand the mechanisms used by tumors and pathogens to evade the immune system.Understand allogenicity, grafting and transplantation.Understand the targets of immunotherapies.Emphasis is placed on the scientific approach leading to the description of pathophysiological mechanisms and the development of therapeutic molecules.

Necessary prerequisites

This course is independent of the Current Research in Immunology course, which you do not need to have taken if you have mastered the fundamentals of immunology. A refresher course is also offered, with access to basic refresher courses.
