Environment and Natural Space Management Program (EGEN)
Dual degree program with the Master's in Ecology and Forest Ecosystem Management at UQAT
The Master's program in Environment and Natural Space Management (EGEN), offered as a dual degree by the University of Montpellier (UM) and the University of Quebec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT), offers an exceptional academic and cultural experience. Students follow a program shared between France and Quebec and obtain two degrees: a Master's in Ecology and Forest Ecosystem Management from UQAT and a Master's in Biodiversity, Ecology, Evolution, Environment and Natural Space Management (EGEN) from UM.
This unique program promotes international mobility and openness to two complementary scientific environments. Participants acquire advanced skills in ecology, sustainable forest resource management, and restoration of disturbed environments, while benefiting from personalized supervision and immersion in two distinct academic cultures.
Aimed at students motivated by research and innovation, this program prepares them for both doctoral studies and international careers in the fields of applied ecology, forestry, and conservation. The program also offers students the opportunity to independently manage a research project, strengthening their confidence and ability to take action in both academic and professional settings.
For admission requirements, a detailed training plan, and available fields of research, see the full description on the UQAT website.
