Overview
Come study management accounting through a work-study program at IAE Montpellier.
We offer a work-study SICG bachelor’s degree program designed to prepare you for positions as an assistant management controller and to qualify you for admission to a master’s program. This bachelor’s degree is a generalist program, not a professional one, which will allow you to pursue various master’s programs (in particular, the SICG master’s program at IAE Montpellier). This program is also offered as both an initial and continuing education program.

Objectives
Throughout the program, you will work on projects to master database management tools and business intelligence software (QlikView and BusinessObjects), enabling you to acquire skills that are in high demand in the digital transformation of management accounting.
Expertise and Skills
The information systems component is central to this training program and will enable you to acquire the skills and expertise sought after in the digitization of auditing, such as:
- Be able to analyze challenges related to managing a company’s operations in the areas of finance, marketing, and production, and translate them into a dashboard.
- Be able to anticipate the consequences of deviations in business activity by providing tools to support management.
- Be able to manage databases and integrate them into business intelligence tools

The bachelor's degree program consists of two semesters.
The first semester covers general management subjects in addition to subjects related to management accounting.

L3 Information Systems and Management Control (SICG)
The goal of the program is to prepare students to address the challenges of managing organizations by covering the main functions of a business (accounting, management accounting, human resources management, marketing, project management, and strategy).
Professional integration takes the form of a work-study program in a company throughout the year, allowing students to combine theoretical knowledge with practical problem-solving. Upon completion of this third year of the bachelor’s program, students will be qualified for managerial positions responsible for assisting management controllers in performance management tasks using management control tools. They will be able to work in all types of organizations where the technological environment is rapidly evolving
: for-profit and nonprofit organizations of all sizes, in the industrial, commercial, or service sectors, and in both the public and private sectors.
The program focuses on both the management and information systems aspects of the profession, with practical exercises using Integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and Business Intelligence tools (QlikView and BusinessObjects).

Admission Requirements
Admission to the third year (L3):
Students with a background in business, science, or technology who have earned 120 ECTS credits, equivalent to two years of higher education (BTS in Accounting or Business Management, BUT, second year of a bachelor’s degree, business schools). Admission is based on an application review and a motivational interview.
