Overview

To enroll in the Industrial Sciences Engineering Track for middle schools and high schools, and the Industrial Sciences and Technology Track for vocational high schools, as part of the Master’s in Teaching, Education, and Training (MEEF) program—Faculty of Education / INSPÉ.
To prepare for the CAPET and CAFEP certifications for middle schools and general and technological high schools, as well as the CAPLP

Objectives
The first program provides a solid foundation in the technical fields necessary for analyzing complex technical systems.
It also involves learning to draw on several of these fields—such as mechanics,
electronics, electrical engineering, robotics, computer science, and architecture—to understand the various operational mechanisms and design choices of technical systems.
It is not necessarily specialized expertise in all these fields that is sought, but rather a multidisciplinary perspective, along with the cultural understanding and foundational knowledge required to enable further exploration driven by the specific technical characteristics of the systems themselves.
The second objective is to prepare students to pass on this body of knowledge, expertise,
operational principles, reasoning, and analytical methodologies to students in middle schools, high schools, technical high schools, and/or adults in training programs.
Pedagogical approaches and the various teaching methods used in middle schools, high schools,
vocational high schools, and corporate training—whether continuing education or initial training—are therefore heavily integrated into the curriculum.
An introductory training program for secondary school teachers in industrial engineering sciences and industrial technology is therefore provided to prepare them to teach technology in middle schools, engineering sciences in general and technological high schools, STI2D, and industrial technology in vocational high schools.
The third objective is to prepare students for admission to the first year (Master 1) of the Industrial Engineering Sciences track for middle and high schools and the Industrial Sciences and Technology track for vocational high schools within the MEEF (Teaching, Education, and Training Professions) Master’s program at the Faculty of Education of the University of Montpellier.
This program prepares students for two types of competitive exams: the sole CAPET exam in “Industrial Engineering Sciences,” which qualifies candidates to teach in middle and high schools, and the various CAPLP exams for
in the field of industrial technology at vocational high schools.

Admission Requirements
This bachelor’s degree program, which begins in the third year (L3), is open to all students who have completed a BTS in technical fields or an IUT program in Electrical and Industrial Computer Engineering (GEII), Physical Measurements, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (GMP), or Materials Science and Engineering (SGM).
An application package (academic transcript, grades from previous semesters, and a statement of purpose) must be submitted to the coordinator of the STIEF track within the “Sciences and
Technologies” bachelor’s degree program in the Faculty of Education.
