Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science (STAPS) with a concentration in Education and Motor Skills (EM)

The EM program trains professionals in teaching, sports instruction, and, more broadly, educational intervention in the fields of physical, sports, and artistic activities. More specifically, it prepares students to design and supervise training activities in the areas of physical education and sports (EPS), sports, and education for health and citizenship.

Students in the EM track are thus prepared to work with diverse audiences as physical education teachers, sports managers or instructors, and project leaders. These roles are found not only in the primary setting of schools but also within various educational and sports institutions run by the government, local authorities, and the private sector (sports federations, associations, health education organizations, and companies).

The Advanced Study track is one of the STAPS master's programs offered at UM1.

Due to limited enrollment capacity for this program, registration requests from high school graduates of the Montpellier Academy and from high school students preparing for the French baccalaureate abroad will be given priority.
