Description
The curriculum below covers the two first-year computer science courses at Lycée Joffre:
Algorithms and Programming 1: Basic Concepts in Algorithms and Programming:
• The concept of a problem, problem instances, complexity, termination, and validity proofs
• Algorithms and iterative processing
• Proofs: correctness, termination, complexity
• Linear data structures: arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues
• Sorting: insertion, selection, merge sort, other sorting examples
• Introduction to recursive processing (binary search, etc.)
• Programming in Python
Mandatory Prerequisites
It is not necessary to have taken the NSI track in high school.
