Description
Through 5 main themes, we will make the link between the principles of evolution and evolutionary ecology seen in the previous E.U. in a fundamental way and current societal applications.
The 5 main themes are: human evolution, biodiversity conservation, domestication of animal and plant species, evolutionary medicine, and major global crises and disruptions.

Necessary prerequisites
Fundamental courses in Evolution and Ecology, including "Bases of evolution (S4)" and "Evolutionary ecology: concepts and bases of formalization (S5)".

Further information
Oral presentations are in English. Two sessions on the comprehension and oral presentation of scientific articles are given by English teachers.
This course must be combined with HAV621B Evolutionary Ecology and its applications.

Target skills
- Mobilize the fundamental concepts and technologies of molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, microbiology, physiology, immunology, classification of living organisms, developmental biology and evolution to address a problem in the field or analyze a research or presentation document.
- Identify the process of producing, disseminating and valorizing knowledge.
- Fluency in written and spoken comprehension and expression in at least one modern foreign language.
