Description
This EU addresses the management of solid waste and by-products, whether they come from industry or local authorities. The course outline is as follows:
- Waste deposits and characterization
- Treatment strategy
- Recycling and recovery
- Landfill
- Heat treatments
- Biological treatments (anaerobic digestion, composting)
- Radioactive waste management

Objectives
At the end of this EU, students should be able to identify the relevant deposit and then choose the appropriate treatment process, taking into account all constraints (technical, ecological, economic, social).
