Description

The various treatment processes will be presented, along with the associated methods (physicochemical, biological, free culture, fixed culture). In terms of biological effluent treatment, the elimination of organic carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus will be discussed. The principles of process and system design will also be addressed. The course will follow the following outline:

  1. Characterization of effluents and treatment principle
  2. Which treatment process to choose based on constraints
  3. Sizing of pretreatments
  4. Sizing of secondary treatments
  5. Sizing of tertiary treatments
