Description
This course deals with the management of solid wastes and by-products, whether they come from the industrial environment or from communities. The course outline is as follows:
- Collection and characterization of waste
- Treatment strategy
- Recycling and recovery
- Landfill
- Heat treatments
- Biological treatments (methanization, composting)
- Radioactive waste management

Objectives
At the end of this course, students will be able to identify the concerned waste and then choose the appropriate treatment method by integrating all the constraints (technical, ecological, economic, social).
