Description
This course covers the management of solid waste and by-products, whether from industry or local authorities. The course outline is as follows:
- Waste collection and characterization
- Treatment strategy
- Recycling and recovery
- Landfill
- Heat treatment
- Biological treatment (methanization, composting)
- Radioactive waste management

Objectives
By the end of this course, students should be able to identify the waste concerned and then choose the most appropriate treatment method, taking into account all constraints (technical, ecological, economic and social).
