This course covers the management of solid waste and by-products, whether from industry or local authorities. The course outline is as follows:

  1. Waste collection and characterization
  2. Treatment strategy
  3. Recycling and recovery
  4. Landfill
  5. Heat treatment
  6. Biological treatment (methanization, composting)
  7. Radioactive waste management
