Water and waste legislation

Without pretending to give an exhaustive list of the laws on the regulatory framework in which waste (municipal and industrial) and the "water resource" are managed, this module aims at exposing the spirit of these laws as well as the philosophy from which they have been thought out. Part of the course will be devoted to identifying the actors in water and waste treatment and the links between them.

Upon completion of this UE students will be able to:

• To find the important laws related to water and waste
• To give the essential dates of the laws on water and waste
• To show the links between the actors of the water sector (project owner, project manager, operator...)
• Explain waste management on a territorial scale
